I am now considering what I should do to practice more of my speaking skills because I don't feel like its enough. Today's weather was beautiful for shooting.I am now looking at the films I have and I think I might need to start deciding which to put in the film and what do I need more and what I should not put into the film. I haven't figured out how to end one of my story in the film, happy ending？ sad ending?

Hard to make decisions.

My biggest problem today is still the same with yesterday, I don't know what I want to put it to the film. There are lots of things I want to show in this short film, but after filming all these scenes, I am not sure whether what I have filmed are the right things to put it in. Struggling is good because it makes me think and it makes things better at the end, but the process of struggling is somehow very annoying... Ohhh and I watched Life Of Pi again yesterday! I have to say I respect Ang Lee more and more after knowing him from his biography and watching his films.. People say the hardest things to film are kids, animals and sea. In the movie Life of Pi, Ang Lee succeed to film all three hardest things at the same time. I have to say his efforts made Life Of Pi such a good movie!

So today I worked on writing my script for the movie, and the process is definitely harder than I thought.I write the script for one scene before shooting, and this is always the hardest part. I need to try to think from the perspective of an audience, for example, what the audience can see from my film and what I want the audience to see.It's always hard when I am trying to make decisions.

This is the movie I watched on Tuesday night, and here I just want to recommond to people to watch it!

So yesterday I filmed interviews with one student from Japan and one student from Thailand.It's interesting to hear their thoughts and feelings. It' definitely different from mine, but trying to get varying answers is what I hoped, so it's all good.But I got one same ask for a questions I asked. My question was: "Which part of you has changed the most after coming to America?" Both of them answered:"They've changed from a super talktive and outgoing person to a super quiet and shy person due to their diffidence." I wonder what makes them lack confidence of themselves.

Tomorrow will be a shooting day and going to start write another paper about my own story!

I had my presentation today in class and it went good. I was going to show to my classmates what I've got so far, but I decided to wait until the end of the term. Since its mid-term week, I realize there are only about four weeks of school left. So I am trying to re-organize my schedule to make sure that I can finish my film in the next few weeks. Today, I read the books about Ang Lee and watched one of his movie, Crouching Tige, Hidden Dragon which won the The Academy Awatd for Best Foreign Language Film in 2000.(I really recommend it, its a great movie) I watched this movie when it first came out, but watching it again allows me to see a whole different movie than what I remember.I like filming more and more through understanding more and more about films from different perspective such as reading a book about a director's feeling towards movie and life and watching all different kinds of movie. 

Now I am looking at the schedule and editing my revised version of my proposal for the last time before I turn it in. I didn't write a good proposal for the first draft because I wasn't specific enough, but I think this draft would be a much better one.

Project Started

So today I started to edit my proposal again since my first draft didn't clearly state what I am going to do for my project. It's just hard for me to organize my sentences in a paper.I have lots of thoughts and ideas but I m not good at putting them on to papers.And I've filmed more parts of the film today. Everything's going good, just need to figure out how to write a better proposal.
